“Rules are meant to be bent”. Miami-based international artist,Johanna Boccardo’s “tHiNg” series defines what is possible beyond traditional paradigms. In this collaboration, she approached the traditional flat-weave Kilim with a tesselating pattern of color and movement that defies traditionalilty. Using fine thread New Zealand wool, the resulting design is fresh and vibrant. Both designs were part of Odabashian’s collection at Zona Maco 2016.
