This collaboration relates to the feelings of relative safety while out on the street while using a crosswalk. These feelings of “safety” are also subconsciously ever-present in the intimacy of one’s own home. Therefore, the rug is a celebration of this feeling. It is treated as an object of design that conunterpoints concepts: Soft New Zealand wool vs hard asphalt (black). Safety in the street at the crosswalk, safety at home.
