Caracas-based art collector requested a custom rug for the family penthouse in the exotic Venezuelan city. Odabashin comissioned Venezuelan artist, Johanna Boccardo to interpret the famed iconic “El Avila” mountain in a hand-knotted tibetan knot rug as the central feature of the living room.
The second rug is an abstraction of a Google map of the location of the residence. Using silk and New Zealand wool, the rug expresses a sense of place and context among the clilent’s extensive art collection.
