Ale de la Puente’s “Turbulencias del Vacío” distills imperceptible forces into sharp, poetic experiences. Merging art, science, and philosophy, the project explores time, space, and movement as tangible phenomena. Presented at Fundación Casa de México en España and supported by Odabashian, the exhibition brings together eight works that expose the hidden mechanics of existence through textiles, sound, and light.

At its core, two large-scale textile pieces—hand-knotted in Tibetan technique with New Zealand wool and silk—anchor the show. Measuring 180 cm in diameter, these works go beyond static form. As part of the exhibition’s performance component, they become a stage for movement, shifting between stability and transformation as dancers activate the space. De la Puente’s work captures the tension between the structured and the fluid, the visible and the unseen.

“I am fascinated by how the intangible—time, space, and movement—can be rendered visible through artistic expression. By merging science and craftsmanship, I aspire to create works that reveal the hidden rhythms and structures of our existence.”—Ale de la Puente

Curated by Graciela Kasep, “Turbulencias del Vacío” challenges the way we observe and engage with the world.

“It’s not about representing science; it’s about questioning these concepts—how our perception of the world—and finding answers through art that helps us discover more about ourselves.”—Ale de la Puente
