Just Enough Is More is a limited-edition rug collection developed in collaboration with the iconic designer and artist Milton Glaser. Designed in 2018 and completed in early 2020, the two rugs are among the last physical works he created. The project reflects a shared interest in balance, ornament, and the idea that visual richness can be essential rather than excessive.
The collection takes its name from Glaser’s essay Ten Things I Have Learned (2001), where he challenges the modernist notion that reduction leads to improvement. Using the same geometric elements, the two rugs explore contrasting levels of complexity, forming a dialogue between restraint and density.
Each piece is hand-woven using the traditional Persian knot in 100% New Zealand wool and produced in a limited edition.

MILTON GLASER
Milton Glaser (1929–2020) was among the most celebrated graphic designers in the United States, with solo exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. He received numerous honors, including the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum Lifetime Achievement Award (2004), the Fulbright Association Award (2011), and in 2009 became the first graphic designer to receive the National Medal of the Arts. A Fulbright Scholar, Glaser studied painting with Giorgio Morandi in Bologna, was a leading advocate for the ethical practice of design, founded Milton Glaser, Inc. in 1974, and remained creatively active across multiple fields of design until his death in 2020.
